The Story of WorshipTrac

If you didn’t know this already…PFW is the official blog of WorshipTrac. Surprise!

WorshipTrac was made with the sole intention of helping Worship Leaders free up their time so they can freely worship.

WorshipTrac shares the same heart of our parent company ChurchTrac, the “easy-to-use church software you can actually afford”. ChurchTrac was formed “in the trenches”, so to speak, over 15 years ago by our owner Byron. What started as a simple database to help manage his home church, quickly turned into a powerful church management software (ChMS) that helps thousands of churches all over the world!

When it came to our worship planning, I had implemented a free business chat tool called Slack for all our communication, scheduling, and general organization of the worship team. As much as I wanted to utilize one of the popular worship planning tools I had used at previous churches, It was just unrealistic for our church of just a couple hundred people to spend over $400 a year on software. I personally found the other software choices were often cumbersome to use and didn’t really save me the time to justify their cost.

As worship leaders, both full time and bi-vocational, time is one of those things we can’t afford to waste. For that reason, the ChurchTrac team wasted no time in creating WorshipTrac.

Fueled by hours of prayer, a quarter million lines of code, gallons of coffee, and more Chick-fil-A sandwiches than we would like to disclose…our team has finished making the first release of WorshipTrac. It’s built for speed and has the powerful features you need to help Plan Worship Right. With over 50 years of our combined Worship Leading experience, we have squeezed our heart and soul into making WorshipTrac awesome and a breeze to use.

Our goal is simple. We want WorshipTrac to be a software tool that saves you time on tasks such as scheduling, creating outlines and managing your music. By saving time on those things, Worship Leaders can focus more on Prayer, God’s Word, Family, and Discipleship. We truly believe that when we as Worship Leaders make time for these things, we will Plan Worship Right.

We’re very excited to serve and be a part of the worldwide Worship Leader community! Throughout the coming months, you will see PFW and WorshipTrac continue to grow into powerful resources to help Worship Leaders.
